Lili Rebeka Tóth is an independent curator and an editor at Artmagazin. She is a recent graduate of the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College and a PhD candidate at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Her research focuses on the atmospheric in exhibition making and exploring the concept of “new-sensitivity” in contemporary art. In the last three years, she worked as an assistant registrar at the Hessel Museum and as an assistant curator at Portikus in Frankfurt. Her latest curatorial projects include the group exhibition of the Esterházy Art Award at Ludwig Museum Budapest, a commission for the Esterházy Private Foundation (Villa dei Misteri, October, 2024), a conference on artist-curated exhibitions at the Giorno Poetry Systems (NYC, 2024), a solo exhibition with the artist-duo Lőrinc Borsos, titled NARNIA IS A LIE at the Hessel Museum (Bard College 2024), HOW(EVER), an art-book fair and symposium at Portikus (Frankfurt, 2023) and a group exhibition at the Residency of the American Embassy in Hungary, titled ABRACADABRA (Budapest, 2023).
